Emergency Examination
Dental emergencies are sometimes unavoidable. We at Smilemakers Dental are here to help guide you through it. A dental emergency may occur in the form of orofacial trauma, infection, pain and/or swelling. If you suspect your child experienced any dental emergency, please call our office. If you are an existing patient on record and our clinic is closed, please call our clinic mobile number or directly Whatsapp. If your child has sustained an orofacial injury that includes a loss of consciousness or requires additional medical attention, please call an ambulance or visit your local emergency hospital for evaluation.

Composite Resin Restoration
The restorative material of choice for the treatment of cavities is known as a “white filling”. However, we provide colorful glitter effect filling too. This treatment may be required if your child has a cavity that extends into the inner portion of the tooth.
If the cavity reaches the inner layer of the tooth, it is irreversible and requires some form of invasive treatment. For this, full or partial removal of the cavitated portion of the tooth is done. It is then replaced with a “white filling” to restore the tooth’s natural shape and form.

Posterior Stainless Steel Crowns
If your child’s tooth has extensive cavity, we will recommend placing a full coverage prefabricated stainless steel crown. It acts as a helmet and protects the tooth from further damage. ART Technique
An ART restoration is a minimally invasive technique. It can be used in precooperative or special needs children as a means to treat or halt the progression of the caries process. It is a must to combine this treatment with changes in your child’s diet and an increased focus on oral hygiene in order for it to be effective. Anesthesia is not required for this procedure. The treatment involves removal of decay, followed by restoration with a tooth-colored filling or full coverage crown.

ICON Treatment
This technique is a minimally invasive and painless treatment option. It may be indicated for visible white (sometimes yellow and brown) spots on the enamel of your child’s permanent dentition, which may be caused by demineralization of the enamel. They are most often associated with post-orthodontic treatment, or they may be a result of congenital defects of the enamel. The aim of ICON treatment is to remove or blend the white spot to the natural shade of the remaining tooth. This is done by the application of an unfilled resin that will penetrate demineralized enamel and fade the appearance of white spot lesions.
